We’re Changing the Way the World Thinks About Computing
Ameca was developed by the startup Engineered Arts, based in Cornwall, United Kingdom. The robot is realistic and can perform a range of facial expressions, including blinking, pursing its lips and wrinkling its nose – just like a real person.

A machine learning system writes its own code.
Created by researchers at Microsoft and the University of Cambridge, the system, called DeepCoder, solved basic challenges of the kind set by programming competitions. This kind of approach could make it much easier for people to build simple programs without knowing how to write code.

Blockchain
Blockchain is a large shared database that records user transactions. The difference between a blockchain like BTC and “traditional” databases is that it is not controlled by authorities, such as banks, governments, companies or groups. The system was built in such a way that the participants (called nodes) are the controllers and auditors of everything – and make decisions about the network.
